Why trust a guy on the internet about Phuket?

Fair question. The internet is full of Phuket guides written by people who spent five days here on holiday, or never came at all. Mine is different for a boring, verifiable reason: I live here. I pay Thai prices in baht every week — rent, the wet market, the Grab to the airport, the tour boat — so the numbers in these guides are ones I’ve actually paid or checked in person, and dated so you know how fresh they are.

That’s the whole point of this site. Not Instagram filler — current, honest, specificanswers, with real photos only when they prove a price or a place. If I haven’t verified a number or lived a claim, it does not go up.

Four things you can go and verify in about a minute, instead of four things I could promise you.

• ✓Eight of the nine area pages say I have never lived there. Open Kata or Rawai and it is the first line of the section on what living there costs. Old Town is the one that does not say it.
• ✓Every figure carries the month it was checked. ฿25,000 a month from a signed lease, ฿170 for a sauna visit, ฿902–1,243 across five electricity bills. Where a number is compiled rather than paid by me, the row says researched.
• ✓The pages with booking links on them carry the reasons not to book. The Patong section of where to stay tells you to spend a night there rather than a week. That page has booking links on it.
• ✓Same byline on all of it. There is no content team, and mail lands in one inbox. If something here is wrong, tell me and I will date the correction rather than quietly swap it.
